Terms of Service

What this service does

These terms are between you and the company that operates Vibe Corner. Throughout, “we” means that company.

Builders post a listing for a set of app screenshots and name a price. Makers submit work against that listing. The builder chooses one submission and the money is released to that maker. We operate the marketplace; we do not create the screenshots ourselves.

Money

The minimum listing price is $10. When a listing opens, the builder authorises the full amount with Stripe. The funds are held, not captured, until the builder picks a submission.

On a pick we capture the payment, keep a platform fee of 15%, and transfer the remaining 85% to the maker’s connected Stripe account. Payment processing, payouts and the handling of card details are performed by Stripe under its own agreements, which you also accept by using this service.

Deadlines

An open listing runs for 7 days from payment; a directed request runs for 3 days. If the deadline passes with no submissions, the authorisation is cancelled and the builder is not charged. If the deadline passes with submissions and no choice has been made, we pick the submission with the most votes on the builder’s behalf, resolving a tie in favour of the earliest submission, and release the funds.

Placing a listing is a commitment to pay for one submission if any are received. There is no cancellation once a listing is open.

Rules for makers

A maker may send at most 3 submissions to a single listing. A directed request may only be answered by the maker it names. You may not vote on your own submission. You must complete Stripe onboarding before your first submission, and you are responsible for your own taxes.

You must own or be licensed to use everything you submit, and you must not submit anything unlawful, infringing, or misrepresenting somebody else’s product.

Rights in the work

Until a submission is picked, the maker keeps it. Watermarked previews are shown publicly on the listing so builders and voters can judge the work; original files are never made public. When a builder picks a submission and the payment is released, the builder receives the right to use those screenshots for the app named in the listing. Anything beyond that, including source files, is a separate priced request.

Seeded listings

We sometimes fund a listing ourselves for an app we did not build, so that makers can show what they would do with it. Such a listing is marked as unclaimed. We contact the app’s published developer address once work arrives, and the developer may claim the listing or have it removed. We do not claim any association with an app we have seeded.

Accounts and removal

You need a working email address to sign in. We may suspend an account or remove a listing or submission that breaks these terms. You may stop using the service at any time; money already released is not reversible through us.

Disputes and liability

We do not arbitrate taste. A builder must pick one submission, and the choice is theirs. Payment disputes raised with a card issuer are handled under Stripe’s process.

The service is provided as it stands. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you for any claim is limited to the platform fee we earned on the transaction the claim concerns.

Changes

We may change these terms. Listings already open continue under the terms that applied when they opened.
